Koidu Vest Design & art direction
Creative designer & art director Brand · In-game · Digital Estonia & Spain · Remote only

I put brands inside games, and worked out how to get them there.

Most of it started as a brand idea and ended as something playable inside Counter-Strike 2: the concept, the game assets, and the research that made a closed engine accept them.

Art direction

Concept, visual language and the look of the finished thing — from brand systems and print to in-game experiences.

Game asset development

Replaced and re-skinned assets inside Counter-Strike 2 — characters, custom effects and the branded objects a player actually sees.

Technical investigation

Worked out undocumented engine behaviour myself, then turned the findings into a workflow later projects reused.

Selected work

Five projects, two very different audiences.

Branded work inside a live multiplayer game, and the brand and digital design it came out of.

About

A designer who does not stop at the handover file.

Art direction, branding, UI / UX, Counter-Strike 2 visual development and the technical work in between.

—

I worked across the whole route from idea to the thing people actually see. On brand projects that meant identity, print and web. On game projects it meant concepting the integration, designing the assets, then working out the part nobody had documented: how to get them into the engine and keep them stable.

That second half is what I was usually brought in for, and I treated it as design work rather than something to hand off.
